Save your base
Add the city where you are usually based. Crossing Paths uses it for overlap checks when you do not have an active trip or current stay.
For friends who live far apart
Save the place you call home. When a friend's confirmed trip overlaps with it, Crossing Paths shows you the dates you will both be there while there is still time to make a plan.
Only plans people choose to add. No live or background location tracking.

The missed message
A friend was in town for three days. You were home. Neither of you knew until the trip was over.
It is nobody's fault. People do not send every plan to every friend who might happen to be nearby. Crossing Paths handles that small piece of coordination, so a possible meeting does not depend on one of you remembering to ask at exactly the right time.
A quieter way to know
On days when you are not traveling, your base tells the app where to check. That is enough to notice when an accepted friend plans to be in the same city.

02
Friends add the cities and dates they plan to visit. Only confirmed trips are checked, so an early idea can stay tentative until the details settle.
03
When a confirmed trip lines up with where you will be, Crossing Paths shows the shared place and dates. You can decide whether to get in touch.
When you are away
A confirmed trip or current stay takes the place of your base while it is active. That means Crossing Paths can use the plans you have actually added, without following your device.
What stays private
Practical questions
No. Crossing Paths uses only the cities and dates that you and your friends choose to add. It does not use live or background location tracking.
Trip details are available only to accepted friends. There is no public travel feed, and strangers cannot browse upcoming destinations or dates.
Tentative trips stay in the journal while plans are uncertain. They are not used for overlap checks until they are confirmed.
A confirmed trip or current stay takes precedence while you are away. When neither is active, Crossing Paths uses your saved base for overlap checks.
Before the visit passes
Add your base and the trips you are already taking. Crossing Paths will look for the dates that give you a chance to meet.
